I’m Christie Chau, and I’m in TMU Fashion Design.I believe clothing is a storytelling tool—one that resonates emotionally, empowers individuals, and reveals one’s true identity beyond expectations. As a designer and researcher, my work merges psychological exploration, cultural influence, and aesthetic experimentation to create meaningful fashion narratives.
My designs draw from symbolism and psychology of personal themes, blending gothic and Korean streetwear influences to express a journey of self-realization. Grounded in theories of fashion, identity, and visual storytelling, the collection bridges East and West through bold, textured silhouettes. It fills a need for authentic, non-stereotyped Asian-inspired womenswear, empowering women to express their inner strength and authentic selves.
Rooted in women’s streetwear, this collection reimagines lucid dreams through a fusion of Korean street style and grunge-gothic aesthetic. Using bold, sculptural, and contemporary silhouettes with metallic embellishments and layered textures, it embodies a journey of self-realization and empowerment— inviting women to awaken their inner strength and expresses their true selves through fashion.
